Jones South says marina project is "full steam ahead" as term sheet and environmental reviews continue

When asked for a rough timeframe, the representative said an initial phase (site cleanup and residential work) could be completed in an early multi-year window but used the phrase "27, 28" in the record, which was ambiguous in the audio and not confirmed as a precise year range. The developer also said the environmental consultant had just begun a Phase 1 and that a Phase 2 (involving drilling and more exploration) would follow if required.
Council asked for clearer schedule estimates and noted the need to review the term sheet and any environmental findings before committing to specific construction milestones. Staff and the developer agreed to reconvene with legal and bring an agreed term sheet to council by the target March meeting.
