Jay also described a Big O 5K planned for March 28 to support fentanyl-related addiction services (organizer coordinating road closure and police assistance), a Pedal Safe bike-safety day organized by Cindy Lou Card scheduled April 25 with volunteer stations and donated helmets, and a National Day of Prayer event planned May 7 organized by the Santa Rosa County Firefighters Chaplains Association (estimated cost $300). Staff confirmed restroom access and other logistics for the events and recommended the items remain on consent. No formal fee-waiver vote occurred during the work session; the Barnes Car Show fee request will be addressed separately.
