Steven, one of the reviewers, said he was willing to meet with any council member to explain scoring differences and emphasized that more detailed proposals tended to receive higher marks; he said the top-ranked firm provided exhaustive information and affordable rates in his view.
Staff also said the current contract with NAI Pensacola had been extended for one year (the existing contract terminates in January) while the council decides whether to request presentations. The item will be listed as an action item in February unless council requests presentations earlier.
Next steps: council may request presentations or submit independent scores; staff will place the contract decision on the February agenda as an action item.
