Milton police say grant-funded radios enabled coordinated multiagency response to school threat

"We were able to communicate with every agency that was on scene... we were able to communicate inside the building, something we've never been able to do before," Frank said, adding that the improved communications were a "direct result of the 8 radios that we were able to purchase because you all authorize the grant." She said the interoperability helped assemble teams and deploy them rapidly.
Chief Frank thanked council for approving the grant-funded purchase and provided the update as an example of equipment purchases producing measurable public-safety benefits.
