Unidos (1 9th Street South) received unanimous council approval for amplified indoor entertainment Monday–Sunday 6–11 p.m., limited to a single DJ or a three‑piece acoustic band; staff and the fire marshal approved the life‑safety plan. Council added a condition that "all live entertainment shall be played through speakers regulated by a central volume control system" with access limited to the manager on duty.
Old Town Saloon, which requested indoor amplified entertainment Wednesday–Sunday and asked for extended hours, also won unanimous approval after agreeing to similar conditions. Council approved midnight closing on Thursday–Saturday and, by council motion, extended midnight hours to Wednesday and Sunday with the caveat of the six‑month review. The permits include manager‑operated central volume control and a requirement to review the permit in six months so council can revoke or alter terms if problems arise.
The larger Naples Beach Club application sought indoor and outdoor entertainment across many on‑property locations. Club management told council most locations would be used rarely and pledged to stop outdoor music at 10 p.m.; neighbors and staff asked for site‑by‑site plans and clearer limitations. Council voted to continue the Naples Beach Club item to Feb. 18 and directed staff and the club to pursue neighborhood outreach; the city manager said the club may operate interim events under the city manager's oversight while the application is refined.
The live‑music approvals include specific enforcement language about decibel rules and a locked centralized volume control to prevent performer‑operated sound spikes. Fire, police and code enforcement will monitor compliance during the six‑month pilot period.
