The Porto Costa Transportation Affairs Committee approved a set of parking ordinance cleanup items designed to codify previously approved changes related to a proposed daycare (7754) and nearby uses.
Staff said council previously recommended parking modifications tied to the daycare and to St. John’s across the street; the committee was asked to formalize a 15‑minute parking zone for the daycare, confirm an existing signed no‑parking area near the railroad and resolve an inconsistency where an area was signed as both a two‑hour and a three‑hour zone. Staff said all affected property owners and stakeholders have been notified and that they had discussed details with Aurora Hospital staff where relevant.
Alder Gustafson moved approval and Alder Champine seconded; the committee approved the cleanup items 6–0. Staff noted the changes largely codify existing on‑street signage and will remove ambiguous language in the ordinance to match field conditions.
