Committee approves fireworks permits for high-school graduations after removing time ranges

One committee member noted that the times printed in the agenda differ from the applicant materials and suggested the agenda be republished if the published times were incorrect.
After discussion, a committee member moved to strike the time frames from the approval and keep only the dates (June 12 for Wauwatosa West and June 13 for Wauwatosa East). The motion was seconded; staff confirmed there is no statutory requirement to re-notice the item with the revised times and the committee approved the amended action by voice vote.
Members said the change would provide clearer public information (dates only) while allowing event organizers to coordinate exact start times with school ceremonies and the fireworks supplier.
