Appointments: The Mayor submitted appointments and reappointments including members to the Wauwatosa East Tosa Business Improvement District Board, the Equity and Inclusion Commission (student member), Board of Public Debt Commissioners, the Plan Commission and the Police & Fire Commission. The slate was moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
Plan Commission items: The Council voted to approve four conditional-use permits on a single vote after one item was withdrawn; committee had recommended approval 5-0 for those items.
Financial and contract actions: The council approved emergency waivers and fund transfers including a level-3 transfer not to exceed $175,000 for a fire station roof replacement and solar array project, budget carryovers for 2025 operating items and a fund transfer of $335,297 to cover excess costs for tax-assessment litigation counsel. The Board of Public Works reported contracts for emulsion and street-patching materials for the spring/summer 2026 repair season and a contract award to Globe Contractors Inc. for street and utility improvements in the amount of $2,007,727; the final payment for an alley reconstruction was recorded as $4,188.05.
Recusal and votes: One member recused from Board of Public Works item 2 due to a possible contractor relationship; that item passed with the recusal recorded (13-0-1). Several items passed unanimously; other items recorded dissenting votes (notably two recorded no votes on separate items noted earlier in the meeting).
