Kyle Platt (402 Lucille) urged the Board to consider e‑bike safety on sidewalks, saying he was nearly struck while walking on Route 14 and opposing e‑bike operation on sidewalks there; he suggested widening sidewalks along Northwest Highway to accommodate both pedestrians and e‑bikes. Leigh Ann Comerford (267 Yorkshire) expressed similar concerns about e‑bikes near playgrounds, saying many riders appear young and inexperienced and that she "would hate to see a toddler injured".
President Marc McLaughlin and staff did not record an immediate policy response during the meeting; staff and trustees acknowledged the concerns and the record shows no motions or formal referrals were made on these public comments at this session.
