At its April 1 meeting the Cottage Grove City Council approved two proclamations and routine business items before moving to other agenda business.
Councilmember Olson read and moved a proclamation designating April 2026 as World Autism Month; council approved it by voice vote. Councilmember Claussen read and moved a proclamation naming April 2026 National Volunteer Month; that proclamation was also approved by voice vote.
The council approved the consent agenda and approved disbursements ("pay the bills"). Later the council announced it would convene a closed workshop, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 13D.05 subsection 3(a), to conduct a performance evaluation of City Administrator Jennifer Levitt and said it would adjourn in that closed session.
No roll-call vote tallies were recorded in the public transcript for the proclamations or consent votes; each was recorded in the transcript as "motion carries" or by voice vote.
