Planning commission adopts updated zoning map reflecting recent annexations and parklands

Woodstock City planning staff presented the twice‑yearly zoning map update on Jan. 8 and commissioners unanimously voted to adopt the revised map.
Staff said the update reflects four projects approved since the previous adoption: (1) an annexation and rezoning of about 11.5 acres on Putnam Ford for residential development (Case A127); (2) two city‑owned parcels totaling just over 36 acres that will become part of Little River Park; (3) five parcels off Dupree Road rezoned totaling roughly 25.5 acres; and (4) an annexation and rezoning of about 16 acres off Arnold Mill Road slated for residential development, where part of the property formerly housed a landfill and the Georgia EPD is reviewing the applicant’s remediation plan. Staff thanked the GIS team for map updates and the commission approved the adoption by unanimous vote.
The updated zoning map is administrative when adopted by the commission and reflects actions the commission and council have already approved; it will be posted with the planning department’s records and distributed as part of standard city communications.
