At its June 16 meeting the Altoona City Council approved a consent agenda that bundled routine bills, pay applications and several administrative items.
Noted pay applications in the packet included Pay App #1R to The Hansen Company, Inc. for the Altoona Public Works Facility ($665,271.70) and Pay App #10 to Absolute Group for 8th Street SW Reconstruction—Phase 2 ($967,264.77). The packet lists additional pay app placeholders (B3, B4) but the transcript does not provide their numbers or amounts.
Consent items also included a resolution of support for a Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization multijurisdictional application to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program; a settlement agreement and release involving Tracy Adams; requests for tax abatements; and an event request for a Community Outdoor Movie Night hosted by Walnut Creek Church on Aug. 3, 2025. The council approved the consent agenda and related permit and license items by roll call (votes recorded as 4-0 where shown). The transcript separately records the approval of a Special Class C retail license for Wine Time LLC to operate at the Farmers Market.
