Pierce County Council adopts resolutions setting two evening district meetings

The Pierce County Council on Feb. 10 adopted two scheduling resolutions to fulfill charter and code requirements for evening district meetings.
Resolution R2026‑101 sets an evening District 5 meeting for 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Dacca Barn (2820 54th Avenue East, Fife). County staff noted charter and code provisions requiring at least one evening meeting in each of the seven council districts; council members said the meeting will be in addition to the regular April schedule. The roll call vote was 6–0 in favor.
Resolution R2026‑102 sets an evening District 7 meeting for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Key Peninsula Civic Center (17010 South Vaughn Road NW, Vaughn). Staff confirmed the date and explained it will supplement the regular meeting week schedule; the roll call vote was 6–0.
Both resolutions were adopted without public comment at the Feb. 10 meeting.
