Votes at a glance: Louisiana Senate adopts resolutions and passes multiple bills on final passage

The Louisiana State Senate met in regular session and recorded a series of unanimous or near-unanimous floor votes on resolutions and bills.
Senate Concurrent Resolution 14, designating March 2026 as Flood Awareness Month, was moved by Sen. Hodges and adopted by voice roll call with the secretary reporting 32 ayes and 0 nays. The chamber also adopted SCR 15, welcoming a Quebec delegation, at a recorded 31–0 vote.
The Senate concurred in multiple House concurrent resolutions and advanced and finally passed numerous bills. Examples of final-passage actions recorded on the floor included: SB 174 (transfer of certain state property in Caddo Parish), which passed 33–0; SB 205 (boat registration streamlining), which passed 32–0; SB 213 (vessel and outboard motor titling), which passed 32–0; and SB 243 (standards for vessel stops and boardings), which passed 31–0. The Senate also passed SB 379 (department reorganization/technical cleanup) following adoption of amendments, 31–0. Several other bills listed on the calendar were passed, held over, or recorded as "passover" or objected to as noted on the floor.
Clerks and committee chairs reported numerous committee actions and referrals before the recorded votes. The session included routine introductions of House bills and a series of committee reports, many of which recommended bills with or without committee amendments. Where committee amendments were adopted on the floor, the presiding officer announced the adoption and the bills were ordered engrossed or passed to third reading as appropriate.
The Senate adjourned after scheduling future committee meetings and instructing members to reconvene on March 23, 2026 at 4:30 p.m.
