Oak Grove School District announces 'Building Futures Together' theme, previews curriculum pilots and school projects

Janae Enna, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, said the district will pilot a new language-arts curriculum and increase professional learning and student supports. "Whether it's piloting new language arts curriculum, training teachers on new technology, providing greater tiered support for behavior and social emotional learning, or strengthening our system for meeting the needs of students with disabilities, we are here for you and your children," Enna said.
Mark Evans, Associate Superintendent of Business, said the fiscal team has completed work over the summer to put the new budget in place and that facilities and operations staff prepared buildings for the school year. "The fiscal team has been steadily working to make sure our new budget is in place, and we are poised to build a sustainable future for our students and staff," Evans said, and he noted construction activity at Stipe, Herman and Christopher as part of ongoing modernization efforts.
District leaders thanked families, staff and community partners for prior-year gains in student achievement and inclusive programming and said they look forward to continuing work across classrooms and campuses. No formal votes or actions were recorded in the remarks.
