The Holly Area School District Board of Education elected its leadership for 2026 at a reorganization meeting on Jan. 12, 2025.
Superintendent Roper opened nominations for board officers. Mr. Jackson was nominated for president by Mr. Deahl and seconded by Mrs. Young; the roll call was 7 Aye, 0 No. President Jackson then presided over the remaining nominations. Mrs. Young was elected vice president (nominated by Mr. Deahl, seconded by Mrs. Jackson), Mrs. Oaks was elected secretary (nominated by Mrs. Young, seconded by Dr. Cunningham), and Mr. Deahl was elected treasurer (nominated by Mrs. Young, seconded by Dr. Cunningham). Each office was filled by unanimous roll-call vote.
The reorganization followed the board’s standard procedure for nominations and roll-call voting. No additional nominations were made during the meeting.
The board will continue routine governance and committee work under the newly elected leadership. The board scheduled additional recognition and items for the Jan. 26 meeting where the district’s student representative is expected to provide a report.
