Laketown council approves multiple clearance forms, pavilion remodel and a business license

The Town Council unanimously approved a series of Planning & Zoning clearance forms and a business license at its March 4 meeting.
Planning & Zoning member Duane Robinson presented clearance forms for Beau and Alecia Dean (approved to drill a well with no water-impact fee), Dallin and Talyn Willis (existing hookup; only the standard turn-on fee required when reconnected), and Matt and Lisa Jolley (building permit to be issued while the town finalizes an ordinance on water-impact fees; the council approved the clearance with the understanding that the fees in lieu of a water right and the impact fee will be required once the ordinance is adopted). The council also approved a clearance form for the Laketown Pavilion remodel. Each clearance motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Willis asked for a motion to approve the Benchmark Surveys LLC business license; CM Kris Hodges moved approval and CM Kirsten Gash seconded. The council approved the license unanimously; the license will be issued after payment is received.
What’s next: The council placed the water-impact-fee ordinance on the April agenda; the Jolley permit was approved with the explicit condition that the impact fees, once authorized by ordinance, will be required to be paid.
