The Village of Broadview board approved a resolution on committee appointments during the May 5 meeting, assigning trustees to chair municipal committees for the new cycle.
Mayor announced committee leadership: Patricia Chow Malave will lead the water, drainage and health committee; Judy Rose Abraham will chair finance; Trustee Jari Shelby will lead the fire and police committee; Lakisha Wimper will chair streets, sidewalks and alleys; Andrea Senior will chair business license; and Trustee Miller will lead public property. The mayor said committee roles are intended to provide leadership, guide staff communication and bring forward recommendations to the board.
Trustee Abraham moved to approve the appointments; Trustee Chow Malave seconded. The board voted 6–0 to adopt the resolution.
Trustees expressed appreciation for outgoing leadership and noted onboarding steps for newly assigned chairs.
