Lake Stevens School District board unanimously approves consent agenda including payroll and donations

The Lake Stevens School District Board of Directors unanimously approved a consent agenda at its Feb. 11 regular meeting that included multiple voucher and payroll warrants, personnel actions and donations.

Director Mari Taylor moved to approve the consent agenda; Director Paul Lund seconded the motion, and the board voted unanimously to approve. The items approved included voucher and invoice batches and payroll warrants covering sums noted in the meeting packet: a set of vouchers totaling $3,175,283.39 drawn on general, capital projects, ASB and transportation vehicle funds; payroll warrants and ACH payments covering $13,673,681.33 for January payroll; and smaller warrant batches including amounts of $10,000 and $2,382.02 listed in the packet.

Personnel actions listed on the consent agenda included certificated employment (Breanna Smith, science teacher, non-continuing), classified employment (Tucker Fontaine, payroll technician), volunteers (Colten Richards, LSHS) and a retirement (Robert Davis, effective Aug. 30, 2026). The board also approved the co-curricular report, non-contract athletic supervision salary schedules, and auxiliary pay schedules.

The board accepted several donations: a $20,000 grant from Hillcrest PTA to Hillcrest Elementary to support field trips; a $12,500 grant from North Lake Middle School PTSA for ASB student activities; and an electric piano valued at $1,822.97 from North Lake Music Boosters for the middle-school choir.

Board members did not separate any consent-items for discussion; the motion to approve the consent agenda was seconded and carried unanimously.
