The Chesnee Police Department told the council on Sept. 8 that there were no major issues during the Labor Day festival and yard sale. The department reported it is fully staffed and that a newly hired officer will undergo several months of training before being assigned to road patrol.
Planning and zoning staff also updated the council that draft ordinances are with the city's codification vendor and legal review; there were no new updates on zoning maps and staff said they are awaiting input or action from ACOG.
The items were presented as routine status reports with no formal actions taken. The council did vote to approve the August 2025 minutes earlier in the meeting and later voted to adjourn; the minutes do not record a vote tally for the minutes approval and record the adjournment motion as "all in favor."
