City staff: digital sign installation, bay doors, fall decorations and National Night Out scheduled

City Administrator Delisa Coggins told the Chesnee City Council on Sept. 8 that the city's new digital sign is scheduled to begin installation this week and that bay doors are planned for installation on Tuesday.
Hospitality staff said fall decorations are scheduled for the third week of September and that National Night Out is scheduled for Oct. 7. Councilwoman Vertie Crawford and Councilwoman Monica Skipper suggested using volunteers—such as members of the BETA Club or ROTC—as restroom attendants at future events to keep supplies stocked; Coggins noted that Jan Pro is under contract to clean bathrooms at CADA.
"It was suggested that quotes be gathered for an additional stall in the lady's restroom," Councilwoman Crawford said during the workshop, and she added that a volunteer attendant might help keep supplies filled at future events. Administrator Coggins confirmed Jan Pro is contracted to provide cleaning services for CADA.
Next steps: Staff will proceed with installations and event planning; any capital expenditures or contract changes would be brought to council for approval as required.
