Mayor Lauren Dove called the special meeting to order at 9:51 a.m. and Clerk Shellie Main took roll call; Mayor Pro Tem Vertie Crawford was recorded as tardy. Councilwoman Monica Skipper moved to adopt the meeting agenda; Councilman Kevin Lancaster seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Mayor Dove then presented the need to enter an executive session citing Section 30-4-70(a)(2), the statutory provision covering negotiations. Councilman Lancaster moved to enter executive session and Councilwoman Skipper seconded.
