The Elections and Ethics Committee approved Senate Bill 1491, which prescribes that when there is a vacancy in presidential electors the replacements must take the same oath as the other electors.
Chairman Olsen presented the bill and said he stood for questions. No committee members asked substantive questions and the vice chair noted the board had no questions. The committee voted and the chairman declared the bill passed by committee vote.
