Alex Alemi, a member of the public, urged the city to adopt Rosenberg's Rules because they are shorter and easier for small boards to use. "Robert's Rules... is 700 pages and, you know, nobody's read it cover to cover," Alemi said, and proposed that simpler rules could improve participation. The commission agreed it would discuss the options at an open workshop.
No ordinance or code change was adopted at the meeting; the workshop will be the forum for further discussion and formal proposals.
