At a regular meeting Nov. 10, 2025, the Beach Haven Borough Council approved several bond ordinances on second reading and enacted a consent agenda covering a range of municipal items.
Clerk read Ordinance 2025‑23, a bond ordinance appropriating $2,220,000 and authorizing $1,779,000 in bonds for various capital improvements; after no public comment the council moved and approved the ordinance by roll call. The council likewise approved Ordinance 2025‑24 for water system improvements (appropriating $250,000) and Ordinance 2025‑25 for sewer system improvements (appropriating $980,000) on second reading.
The council also approved Ordinance 2025‑27, an amendment to Bond Ordinance 2024‑38 increasing the appropriation by $645,000 in anticipation of a Green Acres grant; the clerk noted this was a second hearing and the measure passed by roll call. During the meeting, the finance report for October 2025 was presented: current fund receipts of $5,748,146.38 and current fund disbursements of $322,989.28; water and sewer receipts and disbursements were also read aloud by the clerk.
Council enacted a consent agenda including resolutions opposing a proposed NJDEP‑3M PFAS settlement (Res. 235‑2025), opposing the state's handling of system fees (Res. 238‑2025), recognizing National Family Caregiver Month (Res. 239‑2025), amending personnel policies (Res. 240‑2025), renewing a shared services agreement for the LBI shuttle (Res. 241‑2025), certifying the 2024 annual audit (Res. 242‑2025), and consenting to amusement licenses for Fantasy Island (Res. 243‑2025), among other listed items. The clerk said each consent item will be reflected in the minutes.
Bills in the amount of $1,000,006.16 were approved by roll call; councilors noted taxes and health benefits as drivers of the bill totals. The meeting concluded after final comments and a motion to adjourn.
