The council also removed Maria Mohammed from the property tax board of review (line item 17.31) and approved an appointment of Julie Castone to that same board (line item 17.29). Several task-force and commission appointments were approved or postponed to a special session.
The council amended and approved a resolution to hold a closed session on ethics matters at 2:30 p.m. (Committee of the Whole) and invited outside participants including the state AG representative and Board of Ethics investigators to join. Attorney Barclay confirmed the closed session would be part of the formal meeting and would proceed after the open agenda items. Council president said the confirmation hearings for seven mayoral nominees will be held at a special session on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Committee of the Whole.
