At the Jan. 19 special meeting the Village of Maywood received brief annual-overview presentations from Fire Chief Craig Bronaugh Jr. and Police Chief Valdimir Talley Jr. covering calendar year 2020 activities.
Both chiefs provided summaries of department activity for the board's information; no formal vote was recorded on the annual reports, which were informational in nature.
Separately, the board approved a cooperation agreement enabling the Maywood Fire Department to enter into emergency-assistance arrangements with PACE Bus Company. The motion to approve the PACE agreement was made by Trustee I. Brandon, seconded by Trustee N. Booker, and carried by the trustees present.
Next steps: Fire Department staff will finalize the agreement and proceed with any operational coordination required by the PACE partnership.
