Coleman told the board the township’s preliminary estimate to install an 8‑inch private waterline in the public right‑of‑way was about $223,000. County staff, however, asked for a 12‑inch public waterline, which could allow for possible future extension along Woodlawn Avenue. Coleman said the township is willing to collaborate with the county to move the project forward but noted there had been miscommunication about the required size and connection point.
Commissioner Shenigo said he was not previously aware that extending the waterline was being discussed and will consult with Mr. Rufo about appropriate sizing before following up with Coleman. No formal vote or funding decision was taken; the item was discussed so county staff and township trustees could align on specifications and next steps.
