The Alfalfa County School Board recognized the high school girls basketball team for winning the state academic championship in Class A and for posting an overall team GPA of 3.981.
"That's pretty good in my books," Coach Paul said, noting the players "work real hard" and place academics first. School leaders and the board thanked teachers and staff for supporting student athletes and invited the team to remain for the meeting photo and brief certificate presentation.
The board and administration praised the team’s balance of athletics and academics and encouraged community support for school activities and upcoming student events.
