"Based on cost and the fact that we have played on one of their floors and have people that we can call as references, I feel like pulling Baseline forward would be my recommendation on it," the superintendent said. A board member moved to award the contract to Baseline and the motion passed with the clerk recording assent.
Baseline's bid includes graphics and the vendor indicated it could begin work after school ends, with substantial completion expected by July under the timeline discussed. Administration instructed facilities staff to execute the contract and coordinate scheduling to minimize disruption to summer programming.
The board's approval authorizes facilities staff to finalize the contract and schedule the work; the district will report back when the contract is executed and the timeline confirmed.
