Immediately afterward the Senate confirmed Segundo Sam Bautista to the same council, also by a 20-1 roll call. Later in the day the Senate confirmed Joan Del Fattore to the State Public Integrity Commission for a seven-year term; that confirmation likewise carried on a 20-1 roll call.
The nominations were read into the record as coming from the office of the governor and identified the recommended term lengths. After each roll call the presiding officer declared that the nominee had received the required majority and was confirmed.
The confirmations were routine floor actions; senators offered brief congratulatory remarks after each vote. The Senate recessed briefly following the three confirmations before continuing business including consent calendar items and bills on the day's agenda.
