Amanda said Roche Companies was started in 2011 by Shane and Michaela Roche with the purchase of a duplex and has expanded to about 460 rental units across Central Wisconsin. She said the company focuses on Central Wisconsin with recent projects in Wisconsin Rapids, the township of Grand Rapids, and Plover, and that they operate storage facilities including a recently completed site in Marshfield and locations in Stevens Point and Minocqua.
Amanda announced the company plans to build a new office on Highway 54 within the next couple of years and relocate from their Oak Street location to accommodate growth and an expanding employee base. She described the storage business as offering multiple unit sizes for items ranging from motorcycles to RVs and boats, with Northwoods locations tailored to larger recreational vehicles.
Asked for advice to emerging leaders, Amanda said, “be present and to know your local businesses in the area,” and encouraged supporting small businesses as they, in turn, support the community.
