Sleepy Hollow approves letter of intent to reserve Mack chassis and clears $603,351.28 in payables

"This would be to replace our 2006 international plow truck," Killinger said, noting the chassis price of $109,106 based on 2024 pricing and a lead time of 18–24 months. Trustees discussed budgeting and trade-in options; the board noted that an international truck would have had multi-year wait times and that Mack availability represented a practical option.
After approving the letter of intent by motion and roll call, the board returned to the finance item and approved accounts payable totaling $603,351.28 for Dec. 16. The finance director noted that payment would complete a project related to a DECO loan and that about $200,000 is expected to be reimbursed to the village when final paperwork is received.
The motions to authorize the chassis letter of intent and to approve accounts payable carried unanimously in roll-call votes.
