Council also introduced Ordinance 04-2025, a separate measure updating criminal-history background checks for employees and volunteers who work with minors, and set a public hearing and final reading for June 5, 2025.

The background-check update would change municipal screening standards for workers and volunteers who interact with children if adopted after the public hearing.

The council likewise approved the bill list for the meeting date totaling $2,976,986.43 and several sets of meeting minutes.
Next steps: Ordinance 03-2025 will be posted and published as required; the council will hold the public hearing and second reading for Ordinance 04-2025 on June 5, 2025, at which time members of the public may comment before a final vote.
