Trustee Abraham, the finance chairwoman, read the accounts payable warrant list and itemized large vendors and fund totals, saying, "Our total expenditures over $2,500 is $827,683.81. Total expenditures, $868,141.59." The list included a $282,266.16 payment to the Broadview Westchester Joint Water Agency and a $161,922.04 payment to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.
Abraham also identified fund-level distributions: the general fund (Fund 1) at $452,424.13; the garbage fund at $71,388.09; the CDBG fund at $14,807; the Roosevelt Road/17th Avenue TIP fund at $9,609.50; the capital projects fund at $16,707.23; and the water and sewage fund at $303,205.64.
A motion to approve payment of the bills was made, seconded and carried on a roll call vote of four in favor, no opposition and two trustees absent. The clerk announced, "Madam president, this carries 4 to 0 to pay the bills."
Why it matters: the water agency payment and the share of spending out of the village's water and sewage fund underscore near-term infrastructure and service costs the village is covering as it prepares its tentative 2026-27 budget.
The board did not amend the warrant list during the meeting; Trustee Abraham concluded her report, and the board moved on to other agenda items.
