Community partners tour schools in "Principal for a Day," urged to support Worcester Public Schools

The principal said, "To come in and actually see it and, see the kids and talk the talk is is, invaluable." She added that seeing students and staff in person helps inform how those on the ground foresee school-level policies and priorities.
Another participant praised school leaders, saying, "It is a full time lost job, and, they don't get all the credit that they deserve," highlighting the workload and community appreciation for principals.
Event organizers used the lunch discussion to outline common needs observed during tours, including physical building repairs, literacy supports and curriculum and instruction improvements, and urged people from all industries to get involved. Organizers encouraged anyone, whether or not they work in education, to learn more about Worcester Public Schools and to find ways to support students and school staff.
