Board approves transportation plan required for state reimbursement

The Western Placer Unified Board of Trustees approved the district's transportation plan, a routine annual document districts must present to maintain eligibility for the state's reimbursement of a portion of prior-year transportation expenditures.
District staff member Karen briefed the board on the plan, which outlines projected expenditures for the coming years and details services offered to unduplicated students. "As a condition of receiving those funds, we're required each year to prepare and present to you a transportation plan," Karen said, asking the trustees to approve the plan.
Board member (speaker 9) moved the item, the chair seconded and the board approved the plan by voice vote. No members voiced opposition during the roll call exercise.
Staff will file the approved plan with the appropriate county/state offices to maintain the district's eligibility for the 60% reimbursement and implement the projected service schedule in the coming year.
