Council adopts budget amendment and approves amendment to Tyler Technologies agreement

At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Milledgeville City Council took several non-land-use actions: it voted to suspend the rules and adopt a budget amendment for the 2025'2026 fiscal year, and it approved Resolution R-2602-06 authorizing an amendment to the city's agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc.
The clerk read the budget amendment ordinance (O-2602-10) on first reading and staff asked the council to suspend the rules so the ordinance could be adopted in a single reading. City staff explained an insurance increase that raised the six-month cost by $2,931.36; staff said the county had approved its portion. Council discussed the need to show balanced debits and credits and staff offered to revise the presentation before signature. The council then adopted the budget amendment by roll-call vote.
On the resolution, the clerk read R-2602-06, authorizing execution of an amendment to the agreement between the City of Milledgeville and Tyler Technologies, Incorporated. A motion to adopt the resolution passed by roll-call vote.
Council also scheduled a work session for Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at City Hall to orient new council members and discussed two community cleanup events scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 28 with plans to seek a proclamation for Earth Day week in April.
