The package includes roughly $4.5 million in general fund grants spread across four departments and about $32.5 million in other funds; central staff noted the appropriations are non‑lapsing because grant performance periods commonly extend beyond the fiscal year.
Panucci highlighted several grants, including $6.4 million to the Human Services Department for supportive services for older adults enrolled in Apple Health and a $5 million state grant to Seattle Public Utilities related to the Lower Duwamish Waterway Superfund site. The ordinance contains 32–34 individual grant items; central staff provided a detailed memo with itemized summaries.
The committee recorded no substantive amendments and recommended passage to the full Council.
