Board approves minutes, policy updates, resolutions and labor 'sunshine' proposals in unanimous votes

At its October meeting the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District governing board approved a series of routine motions and resolutions, including minutes and policy updates, and took a sequence of unanimous votes on business and personnel items.

The board first approved the minutes of the Sept. 11, 2025 regular board meeting after a motion, second and roll‑call vote. Trustees then heard several reports and presentations before taking action on board operations. The board approved a package of updated board policies (second reading) and voted to adopt resolution 05‑2526 recognizing November as Military Family Appreciation Month. Board members also approved the Prop 28 annual report for submission to the state.

In personnel and operations items, the board approved the district’s initial proposals ("sunshine" proposals) to the Fallbrook Elementary Teachers Association and to the California School Employees Association (Chapter 307) as required by Government Code 3547, and adopted the Williams Act resolution certifying sufficiency of instructional materials for the 2025–26 school year. The board declared October 23–31, 2025 as Red Ribbon Week and approved the California State Preschool Program resolution that authorizes contract submissions for the coming fiscal year.

All motions recorded during the meeting were moved, seconded and carried by unanimous aye votes (five ayes, no nays). The meeting adjourned after the consent agenda passed and several items were signed and recorded in the minutes.
