The Corona-Norco Unified School District board approved several routine governance and personnel items unanimously at its meeting.
Motions to approve minutes for the Aug. 28 and Aug. 29 special board meetings, the Sept. 2 regular meeting and the Sept. 16 study session passed on voice votes without opposition.
Assistant Superintendent Gonzales presented two credential waivers for recent hires—a speech-language pathologist and an ROTC instructor—so those staff could teach while completing credential requirements. The board approved the waivers after motions and seconds.
Gonzales also asked the board to authorize a fully credentialed high-school teacher to teach one period of athletic PE outside the teacher’s usual credential area at Centennial High School. That authorization was approved unanimously.
Board members confirmed student board member Natalie’s recorded votes where required and concluded the meeting with a unanimous motion to adjourn at 9:17 p.m.
The approvals recorded in the meeting are routine personnel and procedural actions; the transcript does not show contested debate or roll-call tallies by name beyond the student board member confirming her vote.
