The board voted to scrap the lift and to place any funds recovered from scrapping into the town's general fund. One selectman proposed and a colleague seconded adding any proceeds to the general fund; the motion passed.
Staff said they will work with public-works personnel to arrange scrapping and will report back on disposition and the amount recovered. No timeline for disposal or revenue estimate was recorded in the meeting minutes.
