Franklin City council accepts resignation, authorizes search outreach and approves severance after closed session

Franklin City council voted after a closed-session meeting to accept the resignation of Miss Oglesby, authorize outreach to consulting and search firms to identify interim leadership, and approve severance pay for Oglesby.

The actions came after public commenters urged the council to retain the person who resigned. Audrey Lee, who identified herself and gave a Franklin address, asked when the council would ask the school board for resignations and voiced support for bringing back "Miss Bridal Oglesby."
