The Town of Cedar Fort Cemetery Committee voted unanimously Feb. 2 to approve an amended Chronicle digital-mapping agreement at an annual rate of $990, totaling $7,400 for the multi-year subscription. The motion was moved by Andra Carter and seconded by Gina Hacking; the vote was recorded as all aye.
Staff told the committee that initial mapping of cemetery plots is complete and that Chronicle and Sentry Mapping will coordinate final digital publication. Committee members emphasized the need to reconcile remaining discrepancies before maps are printed for verification. Staff also reported that the project has incurred $5,300 for mapping services and $6,900 as a project retainer, for a total spent to date of $12,200; members noted the remaining grant balance should be expended before the June deadline.
Committee members did not take formal action on additional grant opportunities and asked staff to research possible funding sources for 2026. The Chronicle subscription approval was the sole formal procurement at the meeting; staff will proceed with vendor coordination to finalize mapping and publication schedules.
