Chico Unified board approves emergency septic repair, school-construction exemptions, personnel actions and other items
Summary

- Extended School Year (ESY) waiver for special education: the board approved a district request to substitute 15 longer ESY days for the statutory 20 shorter days to avoid the July 4 holiday conflict, with union agreement and parent support.
- Personnel resolutions releasing / non-reelection of temporary and probationary certificated employees (resolutions 1678-25 and 1679-25) were approved after standard notifications and procedures.
- Routine governance items including support for a CSBA delegate assembly candidate and acceptance of the annual demographic analysis by King Consulting were approved.
