Beardstown council approves skid steer, fire‑department washer and $3,000 fireworks contribution

Alderperson Ron Culves moved, and Alderperson Eric Harbin seconded, a $3,000 contribution to the Elks Fireworks Fund; that motion also passed 6–0.
The purchases were taken after the council completed routine business, including approving the May 21 minutes (a motion by Alderperson Eric Harbin, seconded by Alderperson Shawn Taylor) and the consent agenda (moved by Alderperson Shawn Taylor, seconded by Alderperson Eric Harbin).
