Village Attorney Michael Jurusik told trustees Nov. 17 that draft first amendments to the redevelopment projects and plans for the Madison Street (Fifth) TIF District and the Roosevelt Road TIF District are available for review.
Jurusik reported the Joint Review Board met Nov. 13 for both TIF districts and that the Village Board will conduct public hearings on the proposed amendments during the Dec. 15 Village Board meeting (7:00 p.m.). He said an ordinance approving the first amendment is scheduled for consideration at a special Village Board meeting on Dec. 29, 2020 (7:00 p.m.). Jurusik presented these dates as part of the standard statutory process for TIF amendments and redevelopment plan changes.
The announcements give interested parties an opportunity to review the draft documents and participate in the Dec. 15 public hearings; any formal ordinance to adopt amendments would be considered at the Dec. 29 special meeting.
