"This day and age, everybody's used to their apps," Delgadillo said, adding that the app is intended to make it easier for residents to provide and keep current relevant medical or disability information for first responders. He said the system can cover a wide range of conditions including autism, dementia, hearing or vision impairments and mobility limitations.
Council members asked whether the registry would apply to all disabilities; Delgadillo confirmed that the app is intended for any special needs and not exclusive to autism. The council adopted the item by voice vote.
