The council also approved a one-year renewal for workers’ compensation excess insurance with Midwest Employer Casualty for $114,803.
Most motions passed by voice vote and were noted as 'motion carried.' For items tied to purchasing-threshold charter changes (agenda item 7.17), council members and staff asked for more analysis of how raising thresholds would impact bidding, sealed-bid requirements and purchasing policy; the council voted to postpone that charter drafting item to April 7 so staff and counsel can provide a fuller analysis.
