The Grand Blanc City Council voted Jan. 14 to sell multiple city-owned parcels to S7 Holdings and authorized the city attorney to begin purchase-agreement negotiations. Council approved the sale of 237 Reid Road, 316 Union Street and a vacant Reid Road parcel (parcel nos. 56-16-529-004; 56-16-200-016; 56-16-529-016) to S7 Holdings for $275,000 following a motion by Council Member Andy Nyquist with support from Council Member Chris Carr. The motion passed by roll call vote.
Separately, the council approved the sale of 11415 Davis Street (parcel no. 56-16-526-015) to S7 Holdings for $45,000 on a motion by Council Member Jamie Weasel, supported by Council Member Julie Nielsen. That motion also passed by roll call vote.
City Manager Wendy Jean-Buhrer presented the governing charter and ordinance provisions that frame city property sales before the council voted. The council did not specify closing dates in its motions; it authorized the city attorney to begin negotiations on purchase agreements.
The actions are administrative approvals that authorize negotiations and do not themselves finalize conveyance; any final sale will depend on exchange of signed purchase agreements and the terms negotiated by the city attorney.
